Calling all poets, yarn spinners, joke tellers or get up and have a go folk!
We hope to see you from 7.30am on the Friday 5 August at Mary Kathleen Park – our new outdoor venue – for this year’s Bush Poet’s Breakfast.
Bush Poet and Balladeer, Brenda Joy, will feature at this year’s event and is set to provide a ‘JOY-ful’ mix of all-Australian comedy, poetry and song.
Enjoy a hot breakfast and sit back to listen to Brenda and other great performances…or get up and have a go yourself!
If you’ve got littlies you may like to stay on for the Teddy Bear’s Picnic which follows.
Brenda will also host free workshops for students at both local schools and a Public Workshop at the Cloncurry Community Precinct on Thursday 4 August from 2:45-4:45pm.
Come along with a pen and a notebook, and any poems you may like to work on, and enjoy a session on Performance of Bush Poetry and Comedy. No need to book and basic refreshments will be provided.
