Xtreme Bulls return to Curry Merry Muster Festival for fierce competition

Some of Australia’s best bull riding entertainment will return to the Curry Merry Muster Festival this year, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the event.

Xtreme Bulls Australia will display the best Gill Bros Bulls and cowboys in the country, on Friday August 2 at the Cloncurry Recreation Grounds.

Curry Merry Muster Festival president Janessa Bidgood said the Xtreme Bulls had proven to be a huge hit over the years, keeping locals coming back for the up close action.

“Crowds love the compact performance of Xtreme Bulls, it allows them to be closer to the action and enjoy a night out as a family,” Ms Bidgood said.

“Friday night is growing every year, and why wouldn’t it? There’s bulls, boxing, bar and food and entertainment for the whole family.

“This year will be bigger and better than ever with a new live band playing to round up another great night!”

Xtreme Bulls Australia is an elite bull riding company showcasing Australia’s best bull riders and bucking bulls, including three time Bucking Bull of Australia, Eye Candy.

Xtreme Bulls Australia spokesperson Simon Cresswell said it was a privilege to be a part of the 65th Annual Curry Merry Muster Festival.

“The Curry Merry Muster Festival is one of the country’s biggest rural festivals. From street parades, the famous Fred Brophy’s Boxing Troupe to one of Australia’s biggest and well known Pro Rodeos,” Mr Cresswell said.

“Xtreme Bulls is edge of your seat family entertainment. Bull riding is still the most dangerous sport on the planet including rank bulls and the cowboys to match them.

“The competition is tough and as good as you get. The bull riders are professional cowboys there are no amateurs in this competition man or beast. Each event crowns a new champion of this hardcore extreme sport.”

Mr Cresswell said Xtreme Bulls love to be a part of the history and future of Curry Merry Muster Festival for many years to come.
The festival and the people of Cloncurry keep us coming back,” he said.

“The Curry Merry Muster Festival commenced in 1954 so its great to be part of history and the future this festival.” The Xtreme Bull Ride will commence following the Street Parade at 5.30pm
